About KTVF:
KTVF/KXDF/KFXF are the NBC, CBS and MeTV/MyNetwork affiliated stations serving the interior of Alaska with award winning local news, great entertainment and public service to the Fairbanks community. Job Summary/Description:
Fairbanks is the dream town for covering sports from Division 1 and semi-pro hockey to dog mushing in world renowned events and everything in between, including the Midnight Sun Baseball game on June 21st when the game is played without lights. The successful candidate will have great passion for sports and the ability to tell great stories across all platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
• Gather and maintain local sports related contacts
• MMJ for sport events
• Gather and produce VO's, VOSOT's and packages
• Assist with news, when needed, on breaking news
• Maintain a heavy presence on social media
• Contribute to all platforms, including consistent content on our digital platforms
• Ability to perform on camera
• Solid understanding of Alaskan geography
• Host/Anchor news segment
• Public appearances, conducts interviews
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in television, communication or journalism related field is preferred
• Proficient with cameras, ENPS, editing
• Must have video resume reel showcasing work
• Must be available to work in difficult climate situations
